ユーザビリティ情報が満載のINTERACT 2001
本年7/9から7/13まで、東京の早稲田大学国際会議場でINTERACT2001という国際学会が開かれる。この学会は、情報処理関係の学会の国際組織であるIFIPの中にあるTC13というヒューマンコンピュータインタラクション(HCI)に関する会議であり、ACMのSIGCHIなどと並んで、世界的に有名なものである。今回、この大会が日本で開催されることになり、私はその大会長を担当している。その詳細については、http://www.interact2001.org/を参照していただくといいが、この度アドバンスプログラムが完成したので、その内容をちょっと紹介しておきたい。
今回の大会では、特に意図的に選定したわけではないのだが、ユーザビリティ関連の講習会やイベントが目立っており、ユーザビリティに関心を持っている方にとっては国際的な情報収集が手軽にできる場として是非活用していただきたい。
まず、講習会だが、一般の国際会議では、一日コースで50,000円から60,000円が相場であるのに対し、今回は20,000円と格安な料金設定になっている(ただし、6/10までの申し込みに限る)。内容的には、ユーザビリティ関連ないしユーザ工学関連のものが目白押しであり、以下のものが予定されている。

大会そのものは参加費50,000円(-6/10)で、Keynote, Paper, Short Paper, Panel, Laboratory/Organization Overviews, Technical Tour, Posterなどのイベントがあるが、Keynoteとしては、
「Online Communities: Designing Usability, Supporting Sociability」
Jenny Preece
が予定されている。またPaperには、P9: Human Errors、P12: HCI Organization、P15: Interface Design、P17: Design、P19: Usabilityなどのセッションがある。
さらにPanelとして、私がオーガナイズした下記のものがある。これはISO13407や関連した規格、たとえばISO20282やISO9241、ISO9001:2000、それにアメリカで審議されてるいCIFなどの関係者を一同に集めて行うもので、時間の制約はあるものの、有意義な議論の展開が予想されている。
